Couscous is not a grain (as many may think) but instead is “technically” a pasta made from water and semolina flour then rolled into little round balls.

Description
Traditional couscous (Also known as Moroccan couscous) has a small, fine texture. Larger varieties are also available, sometimes know as Israeli couscous, pearl couscous or giant couscous.
These larger varieties are around the same size as peppercorns & will take a little longer to cook but have a slightly nuttier flavor with a chewier texture.
When cooking with couscous, the general ratio is 1:1 couscous to water. Larger “grain” varieties (such as pearl couscous) will require a ratio closer to 1:1.5 couscous to water.
Storage: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight.
