Description

This fragrant spice is used to brighten up dry rubs & spice blends like za’atar, and dressings. Use it as a garnish, to add a pop of bold color or slight acidity to a dish before serving.

Sumac is sometimes described as a “dry acid”, but it also works a bit like salt in that it brings out the natural flavors of a given food.

That’s why it is ideal for dry rubs, and pairs well with grilled chicken thighs, grilled fish and lamb.

Storage: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight.
